Understanding today by exploring yesterday: A writer’s choice to write historical fiction
Joan, your thoughts are so interesting - I enjoyed the train anecdote!
I just forwarded this to a couple historical fiction writer friends.
Thank you Lya!
I appreciate this post so much, Joan. Knowing what came before, and how it impacts the present, feels so vital to me right now. But really, always.
I agree, Susan. Speaking for myself, if I can learn from the past, I have a chance not to repeat the same old mistakes. Make room for the new!
I love this! Great food for thought.
Thank you, Marie. Awhile back one of the questions I put in this post came to me: "When was the last time I changed my mind?" It stopped me in my tracks. Made me think, "Oh, yeah. I guess I don't know EVERYTHING." LOL!
